The Kielts came up from lower down the parish at some period between 1832 and 1856 because the first mention of the name in Moyard is an Alice Kielt who seems to have been a widow by that stage. It appears from records that Alice died at some time in the late 1890`s. By 1901 we have listed, her family of three brothers, Patrick, John and Francis and one sister, Mary, all in their 70`s. There is no record of Alice at this stage. They were the last of that Kielt family to have lived there .The farm and house was bought by Joseph Bradley.
