This was the home of the family of Stephen McBride who was a relation of the other McBrides in Moneyconey and Altayeskey. The stonework is beautiful and has been like this for more than 80 years. Stephen had a son called Daniel and he became the first principal of Altayeskey National School. He moved over to Tullybrick to where the McNallys now live. His McBride`s son, Joseph also became a teacher and was principal of Bancran National School. Joseph ran a shop at Tullybrick as well as various other enterprises. His store is still intact and it was famous for dances which he ran there.
Another son Daniel, a well known fiddle player, moved to Barrow in Furnace in Cumbria in search of work. He got married and reared a family there. Daniel the Fiddler, as he was known locally, lived for a while, later in his life, in Ann Campbell`s beside the chapel.
