This was the home of a well established Moneyconey McBride family who have died out mostly because of emigration. Frank Conway bought the farm and reared his family there. His family were the last to live in this house. The metal roof has again preserved this valuable piece of our built heritage.

In the 1830s there were five McBride households in Moneyconey. Twenty years later, Peter McBride was rearing his family in this house. By 1901, Peter`s son, John and his wife Annie are living in this house along with their children, Mary and Rose. By 1901 Peter and Joseph have been added to the family. Peter went to America when he grew up. Mary married Joe (Dan) Conway and rose married Kelly (Pat Den) from Labby.
