This building has been around for as long as many of our old houses in Sixtowns. It has been a religious focal point for the Presbyterian community in Sixtowns and has been maintained by that community over the years. It was designed to be both a place of residence and space for religious events. The peculiar thing about this building was that the living quarters were downstairs while the gatherings were held upstairs. Although not in regular use nowadays, the building is still well looked after by some church members and the occasional gatherings still takes place here. This building was once a place of residence for people and as such reflects how locals lived in times gone past and  it is part of our built heritage in Sixtowns.
